Tendencias urbanísticas en América Latina y el Caribe

The present work is the analysis of the conditioning factors of urban development acting over the 10 largest cities of the Caribbean and Latin America in the past century, concluding with a final reflection on the current characteristics and perspectives of the urbanization process in Latin America and the Caribbean. A preliminary version was presented in the "Seminario sobre Tendencias Urbanisticas" held at the Universidad San Estanislao Kostka in Segovia Spain in 2001.
