European social statistics

This publication presents statistics on the main international migration topics collected by Eurostat. One new development since the previous edition is the inclusion of short introductory texts on migration and population change, immigration and emigration, asylum applicants, acquisition of citizenship and population composition (by nationality). The focus of the publication is the 15 European Union Member States, other European Economic Area countries and Switzerland. In addition, it also includes selected tables for some central and eastern European countries, Cyprus and Malta.
