About This Book

Man's knowledge of God must not be developed in isolation from man's knowledge of himself. And man's knowledge of himself in Christ must not be isolated from man's knowledge of himself apart from Christ. An approach to Holy Spirit through human spirit -- of course under the impact of the Spirit of God in Christ -- has never been attempted in detail, with one exception, by Sören Kierkegaard. The present effort in this direction is offered not as anything final and complete but as a theological signpost that shouts "Stop!" to a certain trend in the developing doctrine of Holy Spirit and that points in a new direction. - Preface.
