Desperate father Ian McKinley moves his increasingly rebellious teenage son out of New York City to Keeling Creek, a small town in Virginia where life could not be more different from what either of them is used to. Ian's only goal is to keep his son out of trouble. But the locals are intent on fixing him up with Colby Williams, the beautiful local vet with a heart for animals and a fierce love for a teenage daughter she is also struggling to raise. What else could Ian and Colby possibly have in common? Dogs? Yes. Love? Maybe.
