About This Book

This book captures the amazing life story to date of Father Ron Lawson, a Catholic priest who was born into a Protestant family and was a 7th generation Vermont Yankee. It follows his development thru his youth and graduation from Middlebury College with a degree in Russian. His ROTC training led him to serve with the US Army in Counter-Intelligence from 1957 - 1961. He was stationed in West Berlin, Germany where as a 25 year-old, he felt the strong calling to the Roman Catholic faith. He left the army and returned to the US where he entered the seminary. Maria von Trapp (of Sound of Music fame) was his spiritual mentor. He was ordained in 1970 and among other assignments, served as an Army Chaplain in "Desert Storm". The book reads more like fiction than fact.
