It is a homoeopathic repertory: a kind of index to find which hom. remedy can cause which symptomatology. GENTRY has written a concordance: the same symptom can be found under different keywords (which appear in the text of the symptom).

Vol. I; p. 122: MIND and Disposition: Said- cannot comprehend what is said to him: same 5 remedies as above.
The keywords are selected to the following rule (preface p. XV)
"Give the noun, verb, and essenetial adjective in the sentence."
