Gorilla for president

'Gorilla' is a recurring visual column that depicts current events through pictures and commentary. Published in various magazines and online, the powerful and effectual illustrations offer a sharp reflection of our times. Produced by the design collective Gorilla (five Dutch designers) and presented chronologically alongside the photo or news item that inspired each, the roughly one hundred illustrations function as an alternative, critical overview of more than a decade of recent history. Gorillas members believe in demonstrating the importance of their involvement in the social debate, lending them both a degree of responsibility and the opportunity to share their vision with the world.
