Applying best business practices from corporate performance management to DoD

The Deputy Secretary of Defense tasked the Defense Business Board to form a task group to evaluate how successful executives of large and complex corporations plan, implement, and maintain strong performance, especially during periods of reduced resources and/or significant changes in the marketplace. The task group was also asked to identify strategies and practices, together with performance metrics, that could be used by DoD leadership to address its current challenges.
