About This Book
"The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) are proposing improvements to the existing signalized intersetction of US 40 ... and MD 7 ... MD 159 ... in Aberdeen, Harford County. The purpose of this project is to improve the intersection capacity for future traffic volumes that would be generated by the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) initiative at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. The proposed roadway improvements on US 40 and MD 159 would also include bicycle accommodations to conform to the current SHA Policy on Marked Bicycle Lanes which is designed to ensure safety provisions for bicycle traffic. This project would also require stormwater quantity and quality treatment in accordance with the Maryland Department of the Environment's Maryland Stormwater Guidelines for State and Federal Projects"--p. 1.
