Women astronauts

Describes the June, 1983, flight of the space shuttle with emphasis on the experiences of Sally Ride, the first American woman to fly in space. Also, includes brief biographies of the eight women astronauts, discussing their training and their future participation in space flights, and describes recent women recruits and the death of Christa McAuliffe in the 1986 shuttle disaster.
