As the Twentieth Century drew to a close, decades of global economic mismanagement and political cowardice have begun to bear bitter fruit. Throughout the West, inflation is raging and recession is deepening... a right-wing TV preacher presides over a nation collapsing into civil disorder. Latin governments default on their debts, throwing the world banking system into chaos. Once mighty, the nation turns in upon itself in a spasm of violence. In a climate of uncertainty and fear, a neo-Hitler figure has emerged, and is gathering support for his vision of the continent as a third power in the global arena.
