About This Book
I wrote this book with the vinyl formulator in mind.
It is divided into two sections:
1) Factors affecting the stability of vinyl compounds
2) Stabilizer recommendations for specific compounds
The Factors include **Formulation Variables**, namely: Resins, Plasticizers, Fillers, Pigments, Lubricants, Impact Modifiers, Process Aids,
Ant-Static Agents, Blowing Agents, Anti-Microbial Agents and of course Heat Stabilizers.
The other Factors are: **Processing Conditions** and **End-use Reqirements**.
**Specific Compounds** include: Calendering, Extrusion, Molding, Plastisols, Vinyl Solutions, Fluidized-bed Coatings, and
Vinyl Flooring.
In addition there is a discussion of various Test Methods.
