Reports on actions against them carried out by the Inquisitions of Lima, Mexico, Cartagena de Indias, and the Portuguese Inquisition in Brazil. Traces the fate of crypto-Jewish martyrs, e.g. Francisco Maldonado de Silva (1592-1639) and Luis de Carvajal (1566-1596).
