Thomas West of Barcom Glen

Thomas West was born 4 June 1773 at Hooe, parish of St. James, East Sussex, England, son of John and Margaret West. He married first Martha Goodwin on 8 July 1793 in the parish of St. Nicholas, New Romney, Kent, England. He was transported to Australia 28 November 1800 on the ship "Earl Cornwallis". They reached Port Jackson 10 June 1801. His second wife was Mary Rugg, whom he met in Sydney. Thomas died 21 September 1858 and Mary died 17 September 1865. Thomas had one child by Martha and two by Mary.

Descendants are located in New South Wales and elsewhere.
