About This Book

Since its adoption in February 1831, the Belgian Constitution has undergone substantial and numerous changes. The extension of the right to vote, firstly, successive institutional reforms, then, particularly, changed its initial appearance, to the point of leading to a renumbering and coordination operation in February 1994. It is not always easy to trace the evolution of an article as it changes. This book presents, in an original and exhaustive presentation, the successive versions of each article by indicating in a precise way the modifications intervened and the dates of these changes. The method used offers three possible reading modes. The reader can read the current Constitution of Belgium, know the initial version or follow the evolution of a particular article, or even a specific paragraph or paragraph.
