About This Book
"The Neon's misery" is a project of Gonzalo Díaz (b. Chile 1947) of an intervention into public space by installing a phrase typeset in neon, in the facades of the art galleries D21 and Metropolitana located in the districts of Providence and Pedro Aguirre Cerda, in Santiago (Chile). The project was initiated in May of 2012 with the installation of neon light signs. Twelve lighted signs with different phrases were changed over a year. The present catalog documents each of the transformations in both galleries.
