Thermal environmental engineering

This text provides a fundamental approach to the science and practice of designing thermal environments for people in buildings. The concepts and methodology can also be used for other applications such as refrigerated rooms, animal confinement buildings and thermally controlled warehouses.

Specific topics include refrigeration cycles and systems, psychrometric principles, processes and applications, solar radiation, heating and cooling loads in buildings, human thermal comfort, indoor air quality, and the design of duct and hydronic piping systems.
