About This Book

This is a booklet apparently compiled, as a public service, by the Cadmans using information submitted by a number of people with knowledge of Rocky Point, Oregon. Rocky Point is a vacation area on a western tip of Klamath Lake, in southern Oregon (about 30 miles south of Crater Lake). According to the frontispiece, "this edition printed by the U.S.D.A. Forest Service Rural Community Assistance Program of the Winema National Forest with permission of the authors for free distribution in support of the Rocky Point Community Action Team." This is primarily an account of the early history of Rocky Point, including, for instance, a lodge built by the railroad baron E. H. Harriman.
