Effect of cement characteristics on concrete properties

Information is provided on how the properties of fresh and hardened concrete are related to cement properties and characteristics. Summary tables compare the changes in characteristics of cement with predicted or observed concrete behavior. These tables are somewhat theoretical in that they assume that only one parameter is changed at a time--everything else remains the same. The tables do, however, provide a guideline for the user to correlate cement characteristics with trends in the properties of concrete.
