Spionajul militar modern

Lucrarea generalului dr. ing. Gheorghe Savu are subtitlul „Rolul liderului in conducerea si dezvoltarea sistemului informatiilor militare strategice". Pe parcursul textului, autorul foloseste permanent sintagma „ofiterul de informatii militare si de aparare". Atat in limbajul profesional de specialitate, cat si in lucrarile din Occident de popularizare a acestui domeniu, termenul „informatii" este redat prin cuvantul intelligence, care se traduce corect prin „spionaj". Ca atare, in sintagma de mai sus, formula „de aparare" are semnificatia cuvantului „contraspionaj". Retranscrisa in termenii proprii, sintagma este, deci, „ofiterul de spionaj si contraspionaj militar". De aici si titlul laconic al cartii, SPIONAJUL MILITAR MODERN. Asadar, Directia Informatii Militare a Armatei Romane intruneste calitatile, atributiile, sarcinile atat ale Serviciului de Informatii Externe (SIE) al Romaniei - adica, in termeni mai proprii, Serviciul de Spionaj al Romaniei, care actioneaza in afara teritoriului national -, cat si ale Serviciului Roman de Informatii (SRI) - adica Serviciul de Contraspionaj al Romaniei, care are atributii in interiorul tarii.--Publisher

Throughout the text, the author permanently uses the phrase "military intelligence and defense officer." Both in the specialized professional language and in the works in the West to popularize this field, the term "information" is rendered by the word intelligence, which correctly translates as "espionage". As such, in the above phrase, the formula "defense" has the meaning of the word "counterintelligence". Transcribed in its own terms, the phrase is, therefore, "the military intelligence and counterintelligence officer." Hence the laconic title of the book, MODERN MILITARY SPIONING. Therefore, the Military Intelligence Directorate of the Romanian Army meets the qualities, attributions, tasks of both the Romanian Foreign Intelligence Service (SIE) - that is, in more proper terms, the Romanian Intelligence Service, which operates outside the national territory - and Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) - ie the Romanian Counterintelligence Service, which has responsibilities within the country.
