This monograph discusses the scientific legacy of the Czech anthropologist Jan Jelinek whose research in the field of paleolithic and non-European cultures strongly influenced the activities of the Moravian Museum and the Anthropos Museum in Brno. The book comprises four independent sections in which the authors interpret various themes of Jelinek's interest in the evolution of man and culture.
