About This Book

In 1986, Belisario Betancur was the President of Colombia. María Mónica Urbina was Miss Colombia. Miguel Maza Márquez was the director of the DAS. Carlos Pizarro was the commander of the M-19. Alfonso Sénior was a member of the FIFA Committee. Gabriel Ochoa Uribe was the coach of the Colombian national team. A uchronia is a reconstruction of history based on hypothetical data. That is why we wanted to launch our new publishing imprint Caballito Cómics with a graphic novel in which we imagine what could have been the World Cup Colombia 86 if Colombia had organised it instead of rejecting it. In this novel, Bogotá has a Metro and an M-19 commando kidnaps the president of FIFA. Colombia is in Group A with the USSR, Canada, Hungary, Morocco and Scotland.
