A review of transportation aspects of land-use control

The study reported herein was concerned primarily with a literature search and a canvass of selected highway depts. and other agencies concerned with transportation planning. The primary objective of the research was to provide a better understanding of the effectiveness of existing land-use controls and to draft an outline for feasible further study to establish principles or guidelines for developing controls that will be effective in protecting the utility of the present and future transportation investments in urban areas.
