Some figures that were once prominent now seem less so, while others of the same era have won a permanent place in the imaginative life of this region. All twenty-two poets in this volume are united by the passionate effect the Maritimes have had on their imaginations -- their voices, new or renewed, continue to explore and reflect our powerful attachment to this land.
