In the mountains and mines of Lena, Asturias,1928, young Jose Manuel and Jesus are looking for a mysterious treasure that legend says is within one of the caves that surrounds the town. In Madrid, 1941, an accused murderer disappears on the Eastern front while fighting in the Spanish División Azul. In 2005, Detective Corazón Rodríguez is called in to investigate their disappearances.
