An alien race -the Lindauzi - believe humans may hold the key to the survival of their homeworld and species. Within a generation, the breeding of bondmates has taken a terrible toll on humanity. A young man bred to be a companion, Ilox, and his son discover that there is much more to the Lindauzi invasion than they ever imagined.

NB: The book is so much better than this paltry synopsis that it beggars the imagination to picture such an overwhelming difference. For reals. I can't tell you how much you need to read this book, because I think the words for that need are in Lindauzu and without a muzzle I can't pronounce them.
