Medalion z ametystem

The main character - Catherine - realises that her husband will not return from a trip to America. The necessity of raising four children forces her to rent part of the apartment to tenants. Soon, her salon transforms into a meeting place for young Polish writers, an arena of ideological discussions and artistic disputes. However, times are changing, and the next century brings political and social unrest to the city.
