About This Book

This is a wonderful document of almost twenty years of student-created posters from The Poster Project: an annual silkscreen printing project assigned to his students by John Pearson, Young Hunter Professor of Art at Oberlin College. The assignment asks students to use skills learned in Pearson's silkscreen course to create an artistically innovative poster (or series of posters) for an event on campus. In addition to being a wonderful document of creating graphic design, the book provides a visual history of the cultural life of the campus over a twenty year period.
