The Dark Goddess

An espionage /suspense novel in which the wife of Alexander Rhalles, close advisor to the President, is kidnapped by the KGB and held as a hostage to blackmail her husband into feeding intelligence information to the Russians. Rhalles engages a private investigator to try to find his wife, while the CIA, aware of an espionage plot though not of its particulars, pursues its own investigation.
