About This Book

The book contains 11 short stories about daily life in Cairo in the 1960's written in colloquial Cairene Arabic, in Arabic script and with Roman transcription. The language is simplified, and therefore the book is suitable both for teaching and for self-study for persons with a limited knowledge of the language. The book is a natural continuation of 'Aɣâb fi-balad-hum, but the two books might be read separately.
