The book is an anthology of literary works of thirteen most prominent Armenian martyred writers. It includes their bios, literary accomplishments and literary characteristics. The book also contains samples of the works of the writers, translated from the original Armenian texts. In part One of the book, there is a synopsis of Armenian history, the development of Armenian poetry throughout the ages. the Armenians in Ottoman Turkey, eyewitness accounts of martyrdom.
