Mr. Regan is an authority on residential architecture in Southern California, in particular the grander houses built prior to 1960. His collection of material relating to the subject includes original photography, architectural plans, blueprints, and biographical notes on the original builders and residents of some of the Los Angeles area's most notable houses. His collection includes notes and photography on many houses that have been demolished. Mr. Regan recently put together a second edition of this book that includes remarkable houses in Holmby Hills and Bel Air. The book is currently being offered in Los Angeles area bookstores.
