About This Book
There is a lot to admire in "Guerre allemande - paix russe" (originally in French, 1947), soon to be published in English for the first time. Its author Antal Ullein-Reviczky fought an uphill fight for Hungary in horrible times. He did not only witness Hungarian and world history in the tragic years of World War II, but actively contributed to both as well. He may have shared the illusion of the government of Miklós Kállay (1942-44) that Hungary could eventually avoid going down in history together with Nazi-Germany. Nontheless, he was brave enough to fight the Nazis, risk his own life and career in adverse circumstances, and he paid for it dearly. Antal Ullein-Reviczky and the translation of his exciting book "German War - Russian Peace" shall be a great inspiration for all people who struggle for freedom and human dignity.
