My King The President

Investigative journalist Jeb Willard learns that his old friend, a Secret Service agent, fatally shot the president and then killed himself. While attending his friend's funeral, Jeb is approached by a priest who gives him a note from his friend hinting at treason within the highest levels of government. Jeb returns home to North Carolina to consult with his father, who advises him not to get involved, but he is eventually forced into action.
