This book is divided into two parts. The first part deals with Sutherland's and Bonynge's career until the time of the Hoffmann experience. The second part is largely derived from personal encounters, chronicling my adventures with the couple in many operatic centers; also, the consideration of high points among the soprano's roles. - p. xi.
