Medical textiles for implantation

The use of textiles for medical devices was the topic of a conference in a triennial series about polymeric materials for use in the biomedical areas. Following general remarks on manufacturing and treatment, the most important implant devices made of textile structures are referred under the aspects of processing, materials, texting and clinical experience.
