Instituto y Museo de Antropología de Xalapa

Jorge Williams Garcia was co-founder and Deputy Director of the Museo de Antropologia de Xalapa for 30 years. In this text he presents the history, achievements and evolution of the Museum during his management, as well as part of the archaeological history of the State of Veracruz. The cultural precinct which was originally the Instituto y Museo de Antropologia de Xalapa was founded in the 1940's, first as a Department, an Institute and finally the Museo de Antropologia de Xalapa in which all of the archaeological, historical and technological heritage of the State are contained.
