The author was supposed to join US forces in Dec-1969, but chose to dodge 'the draft' and relocate to Canada. This book was written many years later in London/UK, after the author met new Vietnamese in London, as refugees in Kensington! There are extensive 'notes' at the end to help with technical references and a good 'preface' to set out the intent, the circumstance of the work. Altogether a worthwhile read for those interested in poeta and war! > SN
