**Richard Henry Malden** (1879-1951), Dean of Wells, was a prominent Anglican churchman, editor, classical and Biblical scholar, and a writer of fiction and non-fiction genres including ghost stories, children's and young adults' books, history, historical fiction, criticism, and interpretation.
