H.M. de Oliveira

Hélio Magalhães de Oliveira was born in Arcoverde, Brazil, in 1959. He received both the E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), Recife, Pernambuco, in 1980 and 1983, respectively. He is currently with STATISTICS DEPARTMENT, UFPE. Then he joined the staff of the Department Electronics and Systems (DESUFPE) at the same university as a lecturer. In 1992 he earned the Docteur de l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications degree, in Paris. Dr. De Oliveira was appointed as honored professor by forty nine electrical engineering undergraduate classes and chosen as the godfather of thirteen engineering graduation. He was the head of the UFPE electrical engineering graduate program from 1992 to 1996. He is currently a member SBrT (Brazilian Telecommunications Society). Dr. Hélio de Oliveira was also a Division Editor of JBTS (J. of the Brazilian Telecommunication Society).
