Biography
>Amar Samb authored the first monograph devoted to the contribution of Senegal to Arabic literature. He reviewed a good dozen of what he called literary schools established by Senegalese scholars who had taught the Arabic language to thousands of disciples and made a significant contribution to Arabic literature. He cited the schools of Dakar, Thiès, Kaolack, Saint-Louis, Touba, Louga, Ziguinchor, and others.
