"Spirits On The Hill, A Journey With PTSD" is the first book ever written by 79 year old David L Stewart. The book begins in 1939, the year of the authors birth, and ends in present day 2019, The book is a true Forrest Gump like story depicting the author's educational, personal and professional life. It includes his formative years growing up in the rural oil and ranch lands of west Texas, his high school and collegiate years, his experiences in Vietnam with resultant PTSD struggles, his experiences in the defense industry, and retirement. However, it is much more than just the story of the author's life in that it also: 1) Gives the history and culture of a certain west Texas region. 2) Describes what life was like growing up in the region during the war and post war time of that era. 3) Shows how childhood friends, college fraternity brothers, and combat soldiers can bond into life long brotherhoods. 4) Gives an actual case history of the effects of PTSD and how the author was finally able to overcome it through God, the paranormal spirits on the hill, and the writing of this book.-Amazon
