Biography

Obiora Embry is a self–proclaimed [Eco–Conscious Thinker][1] and life–long learner who loves to educate others, write, garden, cook, be creative constructively, volunteer, mentor, and do what he can to make the world a better place. He is a passionate person and his passion can be felt in his writing, whether he is telling a story, writing a poem, or expressing his thoughts and concerns on paper. Some of his writing has appeared in *Ace Weekly*, *Peaceways*, the *Kentucky Kernel*, *Lexington Herald–Leader*, *North of Center*, and *The KeyNews Journal*. Obiora co–authored "Whole Measures for Community Food Systems (WM CFS): Stories from the Field" between 2011 and 2013. In 2013 he published his first book [Expanding Horizons Through Creative Expressions: Reflections and Thoughts Related to the Struggle for Peace, Sustainability, Equality, and the Search for Humanity][2] that he completed in 2008 or 2009.

Obiora was fortunate to grow and develop in a household in which he was able to establish a balance between his left and right brain. He is not only an author, a writer, a poet, an amateur photographer, a born again artist, but also an entrepreneur, an engineer–in–training, and a systems developer.

Obiora finds solitude in Nature and believes that some of his best writing comes to him while outside communing with her. He is proud of his Kentucky roots and enjoys traveling the back roads to spend time working on his maternal family farm.
