Biography

Dr. William Monroe Balch: Author, educator, and minister. Son of Rev. Manning Brown Balch and Harriet Lucy Monroe. Brother of Edward N. Balch. Born in Monroe, Green Co., Wisconsin in 1871. Married Beulah Genevieve Richards. They had four children: Mary Monroe Balch, Elizabeth Jane Balch (East), Esther Sara Balch (McIntire) and Robert Manning Balch.
