Biography

Reverend Robert James M'Ghee was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, then became a minister with the Church of Ireland. In the 1830s he wrote letters and gave speeches denouncing attempts by the Catholic Church in Ireland to promote the work of Belgian theologian Pierre Dens, which M'Ghee believed to be subversive, corrupt and disrespectful.
