Biography

Sally-Ann Jacobsen, born Sally-Ann Heimbigner, was an author, poet, and Professor Emeritus of English at [Northern Kentucky University](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Kentucky_University "Northern Kentucky University at Wikipedia"). She graduated as her cohort's class valedictorian from Odessa High School in [Odessa, Washington](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odessa,_Washington "Odessa, Washington at Wikipedia") in 1957. She attended [Whitman College](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitman_College "Whitman College at Wikipedia") where she participated in the theater company and appeared in a performance of Forrest D'Estes Patrick's *The Princess and the Architect* [in 1959](https://arminda.whitman.edu/object/arminda31029 "Harper Joy Theatre: The Princess and the Architect - 1958-1959; Sally Ann Heimbigner credited in photo caption in the role of The Nurse") and met her husband Gerald Jacobsen.
