Biography
Shuxi Xu was born in Swatow on April 3, 1892. He received his B.A. in Hong Kong in 1917, and his M.A. (1919) and PhD (1925) from Columbia University. Following tenure at Yenching University as Professor of Political Science, he served in the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1937 on.
