Biography
Veronica Bowerman developed an interest in local history when living in Henleaze, Bristol UK.
During the 1970s Veronica started visiting properties of historical interest in the area and talking to the residents. The Henleaze Society were looking for items for their newsletter to interest their members so Veronica then produced many articles for them until the late 1980s. A friend then jokingly said "why don't you write a book?"
THE HENLEAZE BOOK followed and then in 2014 her first e-book entitled HENLEAZE JUNIOR SCHOOL - THE EARLY YEARS was published.
It was thanks to the help of many local residents, particularly Ron Lyne and Sylvia Kelly, that the first edition of The Henleaze Book was produced in 1991 and the second in 2006.
