Biography
Bhag Singh (1898 Mandalay Burma-1966 Chandigarh, Punjab)
After doing FA he became editor of Desh Sewak in Jalandhar and later did PhD in political science from the University of Berkeley in 1935. After working as editor of Ghadar for three years he went back home, where he was arrested by the authorities. In 1936 he was working as editor of Kirti Lehar (Workers Movement). In 1940 he was jailed again. He was on the editorial board of Jang-e-Azadi (War of Independence) published from Lahore. His other colleagues were Sohan Singh Josh, Jagjit Singh Anand, Randhir Singh and Makhan Singh of Gharjakh.
After independence he was elected to the East Punjab legislative assembly in 1952 on the CPI ticket. He died as a leader of the CPI(M).
