Biography

Matthew Hittinger is an American poet and writer currently based in New York City. His titles include *The Masque of Marilyn* (GOSS183, 2017), *The Erotic Postulate* (2014) and *Skin Shift* (2012) both from Sibling Rivalry Press, and the chapbooks *Platos de Sal* (Seven Kitchens Press, 2009), *Narcissus Resists* (GOSS183, 2009), and *Pear Slip* (Spire Press, 2007) winner of the Spire 2006 Chapbook Award.

Born and raised in Bethlehem, PA, Matthew did his undergraduate work in Art History and English at Muhlenberg College and received his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Michigan's Helen Zell Writers' Program where he won a Hopwood Award for Poetry and The Helen S. and John Wagner Prize. Matthew was named a 2012 Debut Poet on the 8th annual list by *Poets & Writers Magazine*.
